Biography

 Tsuyoshi Uwaha, born 1988 in Japan, is a keyboardist specializing in early music. His principal instrument is the harpsichord; however, he is also experienced in organ and clavichord. After studying piano in Japan, he obtained a bachelor's diploma in harpsichord from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Prof. Menno van Delft and Prof. Kris Verhelst.

 He was chosen as 1 of the 5 finalists in the 1st International Harpsichord Competition in Milan. He also won the 3rd prize and the continuo player's prize at the 4th International Competition "Premio Selìfa" as a member of the ensemble "Il Pettirosso," 2nd prize at the 8th International Early Music Competition "Maurizio Pretola" as a member of the ensemble "Trio Tre Gusti."
 He is currently enrolled in a master’s program at the Civica Scuola di Musica “Claudio Abbado” in Milan with Prof. Lorenzo Ghielmi. Selected as a scholarship student, he is also working in the same school as the official accompanist. He also pursues studies in the art of tuning and temperament as well as keyboard maintenance.
